Job summary

tem is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Pricing, to join the Pricing squad behind the core pricing engine of RED, tem's modern utility product. The role focuses on backend, data-heavy development for pricing real energy contracts for businesses and renewable generators, ensuring pricing accuracy and speed.

In the first 12 months you will design and ship pricing API components, consolidate pricing logic, implement detection and alerts, empower the commercial team with self-serve pricing

Responsibilities

• Design and ship core slices of Pricing API from design to production
• Consolidate pricing logic into a single service with a stable boundary
• Build detection and alerting to catch bad or slow prices before customers
• Provide self-serve pricing explanations to the commercial team
• Make pricing faster for every customer quote
• Own pricing reliability with strong error handling and observability
• Sharpen the boundaries of pricing logic so the engine controls behavior end-to-end
• Handle live pricing queries and incidents and implement structural fixes
