Legal & General in London is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Group Protection technology team, delivering modern cloud-based solutions across the full software delivery lifecycle. You will collaborate with stakeholders, mentor engineers, and help drive engineering excellence in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on scalable, secure applications with opportunities to influence technical direction and improve practices within our IT & Change group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building Java/JS solutions and RESTful microservices.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot or Node.js frameworks.
• Strong cloud skills, preferably Azure, with containerisation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of clean architecture and TDD.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Mentoring engineers and promoting collaboration.
