Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) in London seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our Group Protection technology team. Play a key role delivering modern cloud-based solutions across the full software lifecycle.

Mentor peers, drive engineering excellence and partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical outcomes. You will work with Java/JavaScript, microservices, Azure, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices in a collaborative environment that values security and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript in a commercial setting.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful microservices in Spring Boot, Node.js or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies, ideally Azure, and containerisation tools.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, clean architecture and TDD.
• Experience in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and promoting collaborative culture.
