Job summary
Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a growth-focused product engineering team. You will build market-leading digital journeys for clients, using TypeScript, React, Node.js on AWS, and IaC with Terraform.
The role combines frontend, backend, and DevOps in a cloud-native environment, with opportunities to coach peers and lead improvements. You’ll work in a hybrid setup with strong emphasis on delivery, quality, and security, contributing to CI/CD, testing, and system
Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript, React and Node on AWS using IaC (Terraform).
- Full-stack role with DevOps experience and strong testing practices.
- Jest, Cypress or Playwright for automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs and event-driven design.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital client journeys.
- Design and develop AWS cloud-native applications using TypeScript, React, and IaC.
- Write secure, tested, and scalable code with automated tests.
- Document solutions and create clear diagrams for the team.
- Provide engineering support and mentor junior team members.
