Job summary

Anson Mccade in Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and deliver bespoke software solutions in a hybrid working environment.

You will work across the full development lifecycle, using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript and React, with cloud deployment on AWS/Azure and CI/CD practices in place. The role includes client engagement, architecture input and ongoing system evolution.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Experience with Java and modern frontend tech.
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure.
• CI/CD and GitLab workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deliver bespoke software solutions.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Develop full stack applications using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript and React.
• Utilise open-source libraries and components to deliver modern capabilities.
• Build and maintain CI pipelines and monitor software quality and security.
• Deploy software systems across cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Work in Agile teams and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders and lead engagements where appropriate.
• Support maintenance, evolution and performance of systems.
