Job summary

Oxford Dynamics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own significant parts of our platform end to end—design, build, ship, and operate backend services. You will help shape architecture, standards, and the engineers we grow, with a focus on depth of engineering judgment over stack specifics.

Qualifications

• Senior individual-contributor with depth in backend engineering.
• Experience designing and shipping production-grade services.
• Strong API design and data modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate backend services for high availability and throughput.
• Own HTTP API contracts, versioning, and documentation.
• Develop event-driven pipelines with reliable retries and back-pressure.
• Model data, optimize PostgreSQL schemas, indexing and migrations.
• Ensure observability, security, and compliance readiness in production.
