Job summary

MASS is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our on-site team at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset. The role focuses on hands-on software and hardware integration for Electronic Warfare training assets, supporting NATO JEWCS and related systems.

You will develop, maintain and enhance EW software and interfaces, while performing configuration management and occasional deployments to exercises or NATO platforms. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience developing, integrating and maintaining software systems.
• C++ and/or C#.
• Experience developing and maintaining software applications within a technical or engineering environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NATO Secret (NS) Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a software subject matter expert, providing development, maintenance and training support to ensure the continued availability, utility and relevance of EW training assets.
• Undertaking integrated software and hardware modifications to enhance Electronic Warfare training capabilities.
• Developing and maintaining control software and Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) / Man Machine Interfaces (MMI).
• Performing configuration management activities for customer-owned source code and bespoke EW application software.
• Supporting trials, evaluation activities and exercises, including occasional deployment to exercise locations or NATO platforms.
• Troubleshooting, investigating and resolving software and hardware issues within complex Electronic Warfare systems.
• Collaborating with engineers, technicians and customers to deliver innovative technical solutions.
