Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team. You will build the MCP server infrastructure, enable universal agent skills, and drive integrations across third-party AI ecosystems.

You’ll work with Go and Rust, contribute to the Elastic CLI, and ensure quality through evaluation-driven practices. The role involves collaborating with product teams and external partners in a fast-moving, remote, globally distributed setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience on backend systems, services or libraries.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLMs, agents and protocols such as MCP.
• Significant Go experience and familiarity with other languages.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP and RESTful APIs.
• Comfort with unfamiliar languages and reading other codebases.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure in Go.
• Develop platform for universal agent skills and tooling for authoring, publishing, and linting.
• Ensure correctness via evals and not assumptions.
• Design and deliver integrations for Elastic in third-party AI ecosystems with product teams.
• Contribute to Elastic CLI to improve developer efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and support libraries and integrations for the Elastic Stack in Go and Rust.
• Bring product thinking with strong opinions on what to build and why.
