Job summary

Elliptic seeks a senior leader to guide two critical engineering functions: DevOps and AI Platform. You will grow and mentor a combined team of about twelve engineers, shape the operating model, and ensure reliability, cost-efficiency and scalable architectures across a latency-sensitive screening platform.

You will partner with technical leads to set strategic direction, promote best practices in AI-enabled SDLC, and champion strong SRE and security collaboration within InfoSec and compliance

Qualifications

• Experience leading DevOps, platform or infrastructure engineers with hiring responsibility.
• Strong infrastructure background to guide senior engineers on strategic decisions.
• Genuine interest in AI, agents and evaluations with the ability to scale across two functions.
• Understanding of AI-enabled SDLC and pragmatic adoption and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Lead two functions (DevOps and AI Platform) and oversee hiring, leveling, coaching and career development for ~12 engineers.
• Set strategy and operating model for DevOps focusing on release safety, developer experience and observability.
• Lead the AI Platform as a centre of excellence for agent frameworks, MCP management and evaluation capability.
• Disseminate best practices to product teams and gather feedback to improve approaches.
• Shape technical direction with the AI Platform lead while maintaining people leadership.
• Own cost, scalability and efficiency of infrastructure with a FinOps mindset.
• Champion SRE and reliability practices across the business.
• Support ISO 27001 and SOC2 certifications with InfoSec.
