Job summary

Spendesk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Accounting squad, with roles available in London, Paris or Barcelona. You will steer technical direction, lead complex initiatives, and build reliable financial systems for bookkeeping and month-end close.

As part of the Accounting squad, you will enhance spend data enrichment, coding, and reconciliation, while collaborating with Product, Design, and Finance teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience building and operating production software.
• Strong backend focus with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience designing reliable, scalable systems and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of reliable systems for bookkeeping and payment workflows.
• Build rules-based automation for payable and expense coding.
• Improve spend data enrichment, classification, validation and reconciliation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
• Shape engineering practices and architectural roadmaps.
