Job summary

DaySmart Software in the UK is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead key financial initiatives, ensure precise reporting, and support rapid growth. The role collaborates with the US team, requiring some overlap with Eastern Time for effective collaboration.

You will manage monthly closes, prepare financial results, reconcile ledgers, and offer actionable variance insights in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting, strong Excel, ERP experience (NetSuite), and CPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 in a senior role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and process optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar).
• CPA certification is a plus, actively pursuing is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform monthly financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial results, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.
• Provide financial analysis and variance support to management for decision-making.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in finance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare for audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Thrive in ambiguous situations, adapting to changing priorities and driving progress.
