Job summary

ECM Selection is seeking a highly experienced Software Architect to lead the design and development of a CAE platform. The role involves shaping architecture across desktop, web, and distributed environments, with a focus on scalable cloud infrastructure and AI-assisted workflows.

You will grow and lead a software engineering team in a startup-scale environment, operating mostly remotely within the UK with London meetings. A competitive salary and benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software architecture, system design, and complex engineering software.
• Breadth across languages and platforms, including desktop, web, and distributed/cloud computing.
• Proven ability to design scalable and extensible architectures.
• Experience developing cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience using modern front-end technologies.
• Ability to select languages and platforms to best fit the solution.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Forward-thinking approach to AI-assisted development processes.
• Experience leading software engineering teams in a startup or scaleup environment.
• UK work permission without time limit or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Put architecture and systems in place for a new CAE platform.
