Job summary

Mitie Group is seeking an experienced Head of Soft Services to set strategy and lead the day-to-day performance of cleaning, catering, waste management and other soft services. You will drive a unified operation across multi-site environments, champion improvements and maintain strong customer relationships.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting, ensuring safety, compliance and value delivery while developing people and coordinating with specialist centres of excellence, suppliers

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in complex, multi-site soft services.
• Proven track record leading managers and large operational teams.
• Commercial and financial acumen with budgets, forecasts, cost control and efficiencies.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety, COSHH and cleaning standards.
• Ability to turn strategy into clear operational plans using data and feedback.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver the soft services strategy, operating plan and improvement roadmap.
• Own service performance across all soft services and ensure SLAs and KPIs are met.
• Provide visible leadership to managers and delivery teams with a high-performance culture.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost management for the function.
• Build senior relationships with the customer and act as escalation point for issues.
• Identify and implement innovations, best practices and improvements across services.
• Govern audits, inspections, risk management and management information.
• Oversee mobilisation, change projects and delivery within the soft services portfolio.
• Represent soft services in governance meetings and strategy discussions.
