Job summary

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Hub. The role focuses on overseeing the team, screening and triaging new safeguarding referrals from partner agencies, and ensuring protection plans are put in place under the S42 process.

You will supervise social workers and practitioners, manage complex caseloads, chair meetings, and support delivery of high standards of service to adults at risk.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience leading and supervising staff within safeguarding services.
• Ability to triage safeguarding referrals and coordinate protection plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Safeguarding Hub team and supervise colleagues.
• Screen and triage new safeguarding referrals from partners.
• Manage complex caseloads and participate in case discussions.
• Chair meetings (Adult Safeguarding, Risk Frameworks, Best Interests).
