What you will do
  • Conduct referral screenings, initial assessments, and core Child and Family assessments, including Section 47 investigations in some areas.
  • Prepare and implement care plans, liaising with families, the NHS, schools, police, and voluntary services.
  • Participate in child protection case conferences, prepare reports, and attend court hearings where needed.
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to audits and quality assurance processes.
  • Offer supervision or mentoring to newly qualified social workers or students, ensuring the development of up-and-coming professionals.
  • Engage with equalities and ensure access to interpretation services as required.
  • Occasionally support duty rosters, strategic meetings, or team projects, providing a well-rounded experience in social work management.
