Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is recruiting an experienced Social Worker (Level 3) for the assessment service within the MASH. The role supports safeguarding children and young people in Milton Keynes, working in a dedicated pod with a Team Manager and peers to deliver timely Single Assessments and safeguarding work.

We require post-qualifying experience and ability to conduct holistic assessments within timescales, with strong professional judgment to integrate information and make sound decisions

Qualifications

• Post-qualifying experience in social work with children.
• Evidence of completing holistic assessments within timescales.
• Confidence to work across different thresholds and levels of need.

Responsibilities

• Work within the MASH assessment pods to complete Single Assessments and safeguarding enquiries.
• Collaborate with families and professionals to make informed decisions for best outcomes.
• Contribute to a three-week rotation focusing on Single Assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and catch-up duties.
