Southwark Council is recruiting a Senior Social Worker for the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to safeguard children and support families across the borough. You will lead high-quality screening, risk assessment, and inter-agency collaboration.

The role requires a recognised social work qualification, ASYE, and current Social Work England registration, with extensive UK MASH experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised Social Work qualification (or equivalent).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• ASYE completed.
• Significant UK MASH experience.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of child development, parenting, risk and protective factors.
• Experience with diverse inner-London boroughs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative, proactive partnership approach.
• Commitment to improving outcomes and tackling inequality, racism.

Aufgaben

• Manage a balanced caseload and undertake high-quality screening and assessment of referrals.
• Undertake exemplary work and share learning with peers.
• Identify and assess risks, needs and safeguarding concerns for children and families.
• Conduct MASH intelligence checks with partner agencies and make risk-level recommendations.
• Triangulate information from multiple sources to inform decisions.
• Prepare and present cases at Threshold Meetings.
• Provide advice, guidance and information to families and professionals.
• Signpost and refer families to appropriate services and support networks.
