Job summary

Sutton Council is looking for a Social Worker to support adults with learning disabilities in a hybrid role based in Sutton. You will carry out assessments and reviews under the Care Act, and maintain high standards of casework while working with service users and family carers.

The post is permanent, full-time, Grade 8, with a salary range of £43,449–£51,738 per year and a potential unconsolidated maximum of £53,919. 28 days leave, with an emphasis on independent living and community support.

Qualifications

• Completing assessments and reviews using the statutory framework of the Care Act
• Maintaining high standards of casework with supervision and trackers
• Contributing to service improvement with users and carers

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and reviews under the Care Act.
• Maintain exceptional standards of casework and timeliness.
• Support team development and supervise peers when needed.
• Ensure commissioned services are cost-effective and participate in co-production of improvements.
• Cover rota duties when main worker is on leave.
• Take on enquiry officer role for safeguarding enquiries on a rota basis.
