Job summary

Change Grow Live in Accrington is seeking a Senior Smoke Free Practitioner to lead a specialist team delivering stop smoking services. You will provide advice, information and personalised plans to help individuals quit, while line-managing staff and driving service improvements.

The role requires extensive experience in health or social care interventions, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate programmes across Lancashire.

Qualifications

• Understanding the harms of smoking and related health risks.
• Experience delivering health and/or social care interventions.
• Experience providing line management, supervision and appraisals.
• Experience carrying out assessments and delivering tailored interventions.
• Able to work well within a team and adapt to demands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote the benefits of stop smoking services and participation across Lancashire.
• Lead a specialist team delivering brief advice and structured programmes.
• Lead on work-streams to tailor services for target groups.
• Engage with communities to raise awareness of health impacts and encourage referrals.
• Support the Service Manager to meet service targets.
• Provide line management, supervision and appraisals to Specialists.
