Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust invites a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Greater Manchester Specialist Support Team. The role focuses on specialist assessment and intervention for complex communication needs, with clinical leadership and training across staff.

The post involves line management of a team and supervision of SLTs and support workers, developing proactive risk mitigation within a multidisciplinary context, and contributing to research and education

Qualifications

• Recognised degree or diploma in speech and language therapy approved by the RCSLT and HPC.
• Evidence of management training.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, consultation and intervention for SLT needs.
• Lead evidence-based assessment and treatment for complex cases.
• Line manage and supervise SLTs and support workers.
• Formulate and deliver multidisciplinary support plans and evaluate outcomes.
• Lead training and development programmes within the team.
