Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join the Greater Manchester Specialist Support Team on a job-share basis up to 22.5 hours per week, covering Wednesday, Thursday and an additional weekday.

The team delivers a proactive, preventative service for people with learning disabilities and/or autism at risk of hospital admission or placement breakdown, with consultation, assessment and training across agencies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised degree/diploma approved by the RCSLT and HPC.
• Current HCPC registration to practise.
• Evidence of management training.

Responsabilités

• Line management and prioritisation of caseload within the team.
• Provide clinical leadership and training to staff.
• Lead on complex SLT assessments and interventions.
• Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives.
• Supervise junior staff and students.
• Develop outcome measures and evaluate impact of interventions.
• Represent the service with partner agencies and at local/national levels.
