Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Greater Manchester Specialist Support Team on a part-time job share (up to 22.5 hours per week), covering Wednesday, Thursday and one other weekday.

You will provide specialist assessments and interventions across Greater Manchester, collaborating with Learning Disability, Mental Health and Autism services to deliver proactive risk mitigation and evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and training to the wider staff team with regards to speech, language and communication.
• Lead on assessment, treatment and intervention for complex service users referred to the team.
• Supervise other speech and language therapists and support workers in the team.
• Contribute to the pre and post qualification teaching of speech and language therapy.
• Develop and implement outcome measures to inform practice and quality improvement.
