Job summary

The senior speech and language therapy post focuses on running the day-to-day service for the CAMHS neurodevelopment pathway for children and young people. It includes a specialist dysfluency caseload and leadership for innovative SLT practice within an integrated therapies MDT.

HCPC registration is required, and flexible working can be considered. The role emphasizes differential diagnosis, evidence-based plans, and collaboration with families and CAMHS colleagues.

Qualifications

• Recognised speech and language therapy degree or equivalent.
• Evidence of specialist short courses up to Masters level or equivalent.
• Active interest in CPD in line with RCSLT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day SLT service for the CAMHS neurodevelopment pathway.
• Hold overview of the dysfluency caseload for service development and waiting list management.
• Assess and make differential diagnoses for children with fluency delays and disorders, with or without EHC plans.
• Design and deliver evidence-based specialist intervention plans and care plans with MDT and family.
• Provide specialist knowledge and training to parents, carers, students and SLT team.
