Job summary

Active Care Group’s Active Neuro service at Hothfield Neurological Rehabilitation Centre is seeking an experienced Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will provide specialist SLT assessment and treatment for adults with complex neurological needs and lead therapy initiatives in a seven-day model of care.

HCPC registration, neurorehabilitation experience, and specialist dysphagia competency are essential.

Qualifications

HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.
Neurorehabilitation experience.
Specialist-level dysphagia competency according to the RCSLT framework.
Formal supervision/line management experience.
Strong communication, leadership, and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist SLT assessment and treatment for clients with complex neurological needs.
Devise and implement evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level, emphasising multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes.
Independently plan and lead communication therapy groups.
Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance.
Undertake key worker duties, ensuring cohesive goal-setting, therapy coordination, and discharge planning.
Formally supervise less experienced SLTs and assistants in line with ACG policy.
Take an active role in the induction and training of other members of the interdisciplinary team.
