Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Acute Dysphagia Team in Dundee at Ninewells Hospital. The role is a full-time locum for 3 months, offering £37.64 per hour with a typical 8:00 am–4:00 pm schedule and opportunities to work with hyper-acute stroke, general medicine and surgery teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong acute dysphagia management skills and be prepared to contribute to MDT meetings and staff training.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist speech and language therapy for patients with acute dysphagia within Ninewells Hospital.
• Collaborate closely with the hyper-acute stroke unit and extend support to general medicine and surgery departments.
• Work within the high dependency unit, bringing expertise and compassionate care to complex cases.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and discussions to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Contribute to and deliver training sessions for staff, enhancing team knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
