Job summary

Rw Armstrong & Sons seeks a Site Manager to lead high-end construction sites across Reading and Basingstoke. You will supervise teams and subcontractors, ensure programmes, budgets and contractual requirements are met, and take ownership of on-site operations with a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualified with proven site management experience.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage resources and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and weekly site activities, managing resources and labour to keep projects moving efficiently and in line with the programme.
• Develop and maintain site schedules, monitoring progress, addressing delays, and ensuring variations are managed in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Take ownership of all on-site operations, leading direct staff and subcontractors with confidence, autonomy, and accountability.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients, project teams, and subcontractors, contributing insightfully to planning meetings.
• Oversee workmanship through regular inspections, ensuring every aspect of the project meets our high standards of quality.
• Champion safety on site, embedding SHE compliance, managing risks and documentation, and fostering a culture where safety and excellence are always a priority.
