Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Senior Site Manager to join the Northern construction business in Leeds and surrounding areas. You will oversee the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget, reporting to the Project Manager and ensuring quality, health & safety and environmental requirements are met.

The role requires leadership of subcontractors, input on buildability issues, and a proven track record across various construction projects, ideally with SMSTS and

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering high quality projects.
• Broad construction based technical experience.
• Experience working on various types of Construction projects; school construction experience is beneficial.
• A relevant Health & Safety qualification and be competent to carry out site management tasks (ideally SMSTS).
• Confident in the use of IT packages and systems.
• Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Management of complex Construction process including knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations.
• Ensure quality records are produced and monitored to verify works meet specifications.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures.
• Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
• Ensuring BAM construction environmental procedures are implemented on site.
• Keep site diaries including records of subcontractor attendance and progress.
• Manage direct and sub-contractor packages and keep associated records.
• Input on buildability issues as required.

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Senior Site Manager, to join the Northern construction business.

As a Senior Site Manager you will be managing, controlling and supporting the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget and based on a project within Leeds and surrounding areas.

Making Possible

Reporting to the Project Manager and becoming an integral member of the construction team you would be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the construction management role, management of subcontractors and have a proven track record of exceeding targets and achieving high scores in health and safety, environmental management and Considerate Constructor Scheme.

• Management of complex Construction process including knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations
• Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced and monitored to verify that the works are produced in accordance with the specification requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures including the Construction Phase Management Plan
• Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
• Ensuring BAM construction environmental procedures are implemented on site.
• Keep site diaries including records of subcontractor attendance and progress.
• Manage direct and sub-contractor packages and the keeping of associated records
• Input on buildability issues as required.
