Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager for a major Exeter project, overseeing internal trades packages on new build apartments and refurbishment. The role requires coordinating subcontractors to deliver safely, on programme and to a high standard.

You will manage internal trades through procurement to handover, work with commercial, design, engineering and planning teams, and lead subcontractor performance and meetings on site.

Senior Site Manager

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a major construction project in Exeter, working on the construction of new build apartment blocks and a large refurbishment.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the internal trades' packages, coordinating subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing internal trades packages from procurement through to completion.
• Coordinating subcontractors, site teams and surrounding trades.
• Monitoring programme, quality, costs and Health & Safety.
• Working closely with commercial, design, engineering and planning teams.
• Leading progress and coordination meetings.
• Managing subcontractor performance/delivery.
• Identifying and resolving defects, variations and risks.
• Managing snagging through to a defect-free handover.
• Liaising with the client and project team.

About You

You will be an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in delivering large-scale construction projects, ideally with significant interest / experience with internal packages.

You will need:

• Tier 1 or reginal contracting with major project experience
• Strong subcontractor management skills.
• Excellent programme and organisational ability.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• A commitment to quality and Health & Safety.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and drive programme delivery.
