Position Overview:

The company are seeking a Senior Site Manager to take a leading role on a flagship £250m+ development in the Cambridgeshire region. This is a key position on a major scheme and requires a well-rounded construction professional with experience managing packages across multiple disciplines on large-scale projects.

As Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful on-site delivery of key elements of the build, ensuring quality, safety, programme, and budget are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Oversee and coordinate sub-contractors and trade packages, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Ensure all works are delivered to the highest standards of quality and health & safety.
• Maintain excellent communication and coordination with internal teams, design teams, and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and assist with short-term programming and planning.
• Support the Project Manager and contribute to the project’s strategic goals and milestones.
• Manage site logistics and temporary works.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across site activities

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale (£100m+) construction projects, preferably for Tier 1 contractors.
• Exposure to complex build elements and multi-disciplinary site environments
• Strong understanding of construction processes, programme management, and commercial awareness.
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid qualifications are essential.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A team player with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
