If you've ever stood in the middle of a site wondering how it's 7am and you're already behind programme, this might be the role for you. We're looking for a Site Manager to join the team on the internal fit-out of a £50m retirement apartment development, including several high-end apartment blocks and over 30 cottages. The project runs through September 2026.

You'll be leading the internal fit-out, focusing on details like grout lines and paint colours.

The role:

We're seeking a Site Manager to oversee the internal fit-out, working alongside another manager. Responsibilities include:

• Managing trades who aim to finish by Friday
• Ensuring drawings match the built work
• Addressing on-site issues like aligning skirting and other finishes

This role involves tight timelines, high standards, and coordination of various trades.

The wishlist:

• Experience in trade sequencing, ideally on residential, student accommodation, hotels, or care homes projects
• Strong attention to detail, able to spot issues from a distance
• Proven experience on jobs, with a history of successful project handovers
• Tier 1 experience, capable of maintaining quality and schedule under pressure

The company:

A well-backed, financially stable principal contractor that is expanding rapidly. They handle projects like film studios, stadiums, high-end retirement schemes, with their own demolition, piling, structural, joinery, and haulage teams, ensuring efficient delivery.
