Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a General Foreman for a Canterbury-based clean water project. The role requires experience as a General Foreman/Site Supervisor in UK Water/Wastewater schemes attached to AMP6/AMP7/AMP8, with a capability to work for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.

Role involves managing construction and civil activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safe, compliant site operations. 12+ month duration, daily rate of £400 p/d Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• SSSTS/SMSTS qualification with site safety responsibilities.
• CSCS Supervisor Card as a minimum site access requirement.
• First Aid At Work certification for on-site emergencies.

Responsibilities

• General management of all construction and civil engineering activities.
• Daily allocation of plant, labour and materials.
• Coordination of site activities, including subcontractors.
• Management of on-site workforce with safe working methods.
• Ensure deliveries are stored safely to protect people and assets.
• Ensure PPE is available and used correctly.
• Assist in method statement production.
