Job summary

Elvet Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee civil works on multi-million pound water infrastructure projects across South Yorkshire. You will lead and mentor Site Engineers, coordinate temporary works, review RAMS and site documentation, and help drive safe, compliant delivery on schemes valued from £1m to £20m.

The role covers several projects in Sheffield, Barnsley and Rotherham within the Yorkshire Water AMP8 framework, with progression toward contract

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Site Engineer / Section Engineer / Sub Agent on heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of drainage gradients, rebar, shuttering/formwork and temporary works.
• Ability to supervise direct workforce on site.
• Experience delivering works for water sector clients is beneficial.
• Must hold CSCS and full UK driving licence.
• Ideally hold a relevant degree/hnd; SSSTS or lifting ops qualifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Review RAMS, permits and site documentation and keep them up to date.
• Coordinate Temporary Works on site and produce lift plans.
• Update on-site paperwork and records.
• Provide guidance to Site Engineers and assist Site Agents.
• Support planning, sequencing and safe systems of work on multiple projects.
• Monitor progress, quality and compliance on site.
