Job summary

Laing O'Rourke's Kiln Lane Substation project seeks a Senior Site Engineer to lead on-site engineering and construction activities, collaborating with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure quality, safety and on-time delivery.

You will supervise engineering and construction activities, review drawings, mentor Site Engineers, promote health and environmental standards, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Experience managing and mentoring teams of Site Engineers
• Strong focus on safety, quality and project delivery

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering and construction activities to ensure safety, programme, and budget compliance
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives for efficient delivery
• Carry out site inspections and monitor progress against programme, quality and safety requirements
• Review engineering drawings and design information and help resolve technical challenges
• Support quality assurance activities, inspections, audits and testing
• Promote high standards of health, safety, wellbeing and environmental performance
• Maintain accurate project records, progress reports and site documentation
• Mentor and support engineers within the team to develop project capability
