Job summary

Laing O'Rourke in Watford, UK, seeks a Senior Engineer – Power (Substation) to lead civil works for a major substation project. You will manage a team of Site and Section Engineers, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, quality and safety requirements, with emphasis on RAMS and QA processes.

The role champions digital engineering, DfMA, and engineered safety approaches, working closely with project teams. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential, with Chartered status desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or technical equivalent.
• Around 5 years' experience in a construction delivery environment.
• Eligible to work in the UK; Chartered status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support a team of Site and Section Engineers
• Promote and implement best engineering practices across the project
• Support RAMS implementation and review
• Oversee QA documentation, record keeping and ITP requirements
• Review design and as-built information to support delivery
• Coordinate materials, plant requirements and call-off schedules
• Support temporary works processes and undertake TWC responsibilities where required
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers
• Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure delivery to programme, budget, quality and safety requirements
• Champion Laing O'Rourke's digital engineering, DfMA and engineered safety approaches
