Job summary

A well-established civil engineering contractor in the East of Scotland is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to support the site team, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

You will lead setting-out and surveying, review drawings, provide technical guidance, carry out quality checks and liaise with project managers, subcontractors and design teams. A strong track record in civil engineering and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Site Engineer in civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of construction processes and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying for civil engineering and infrastructure works.
• Providing technical guidance and support to Site Engineers and the wider site team.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure works are delivered correctly.
• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.
• Liaising with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and design teams to resolve technical issues.
• Supporting the delivery of works safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.

We are working with a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Senior Site Engineer for their expanding team in the East of Scotland.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the site team, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

As the Senior Site Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Setting out and surveying for civil engineering and infrastructure works.
• Providing technical guidance and support to Site Engineers and the wider site team.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure works are delivered correctly.
• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure.

• Good knowledge of construction processes, quality requirements and health & safety.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a site team.
