Job summary

Paxton Personnel Ltd are seeking a driven Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across Aberdeenshire. You will work with the Site Manager on engineering and technical aspects, setting out, surveying, and reviewing documentation.

You'll develop technical skills, take on increasing responsibility, and progress into senior roles as part of a structured career path within a supportive project team.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experienced in a site-based civil engineering environment.
• Confident with setting out and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong technically, organised and commercially aware.
• Comfortable working as part of a wider project team.
• Ambitious and keen to progress their career.
• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works accurately and efficiently.
• Producing and reviewing engineering documentation.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining accurate records.
• Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers and the site team.
• Monitoring progress and supporting the delivery of the programme.
• Assisting with technical queries and resolving engineering issues on site.
• Ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are maintained.
• Supporting junior engineers and taking on additional responsibility as your experience develops.

They are now looking for a motivated Site Engineer to join their team and play a key role in the successful delivery of major projects.

The Role

As a Site Engineer, you will work closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, taking responsibility for the engineering and technical aspects of the project.
