Job summary

Randstad CPE is partnering with a premier civil contractor to recruit a Senior Site Agent for a £10m-£15m Wastewater Treatment Works upgrade near Penrith. This long-term contract (2-3 years) sits within AMP8/AMP9 with framework longevity across Cumbria and the North West.

You will lead daily delivery, manage site teams and subcontractors on heavy civils and MEICA, drive a zero-harm safety culture, ensure RAMS and permits, and report progress to the Project Director, with flexibility to support

Qualifications

• UK-based experience as Site Agent or PM on water projects.
• AMP framework experience essential.
• CSCS Black/Gold, SMSTS/IOSH, First Aid.
• Full UK driving licence and EUSR Water Hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Leading the daily delivery of a £10m-£15m WWTW upgrade project, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to exact client specifications.
• Overseeing a balanced mix of heavy civil engineering and MEICA installation activities across site.
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, and gangs while driving a zero-harm safety culture.
• Ensuring full compliance with site permits, RAMS, temporary works procedures, and environmental standards.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and reporting site progress directly to the Project Director.
• Providing operational flexibility to support adjacent water infrastructure projects across Cumbria, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester as required.

Are you an experienced Site Agent or Project Manager with extensive water industry experience looking for guaranteed long-term contract stability in the North West? We at Randstad are partnering with a premier tier-one civil infrastructure contractor to recruit a Senior Site Agent for a key Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW) upgrade near Penrith.

With secured work spanning both AMP8 and AMP9, this role offers a 5+ year framework longevity across Cumbria and the wider North West region (including major flagship projects in Lancashire and Greater Manchester).

Responsibilities

• Leading the daily delivery of a £10m-£15m WWTW upgrade project, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to exact client specifications.
• Overseeing a balanced mix of heavy civil engineering and MEICA installation activities across site.
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, and gangs while driving a zero-harm safety culture.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Site Agent or Project Manager within the UK Water Industry (AMP framework experience is essential).
• Solid technical understanding of both Civils and MEICA operational scopes.
• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering / Construction
• CSCS Black or Gold Card
• SMSTS (or IOSH)
• First Aid
• A Full UK Driving Licence
• EUSR Water Hygiene Card
• Confined Spaces
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
• NRSWA
• Location: Ideally based in Cumbria or the North West with willingness to travel to project hubs (e.g., Penrith, Blackburn, Manchester).
