Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Senior Site Agent for a major wastewater upgrade near Penrith in the North West. The long-term contract (2–3 years) sits on a 5+ year framework, with a day rate of £400 and IR35 Inside.

The role requires UK water-industry experience and strong Civils/MEICA knowledge. You will lead delivery of the £10m–£15m upgrade, manage site teams and subcontractors, and ensure RAMS, safety and environmental standards are met, with reporting to the Project Director.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Site Agent or Project Manager in UK Water Industry.
• AMP framework experience essential.
• Strong Civils and MEICA knowledge.
• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering/Construction.
• CSCS Black or Gold Card.
• SMSTS or IOSH certification.
• First Aid certified.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• EUSR Water Hygiene Card.
• Confined Spaces.
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC).
• NRSWA accreditation.
• Willingness to travel across Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily delivery of the £10m–£15m WWTW upgrade, ensuring safe, on-schedule, client-specified work.
• Oversee civil and MEICA activities on site.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and gangs with a zero-harm safety culture.
• Ensure RAMS, permits, temporary works procedures and environmental standards are followed.
• Maintain client relationships and report progress to the Project Director.
• Provide operational flexibility to support adjacent water projects in the region.
