Job summary

Wellcome Sanger Institute invites applications for a Senior Bioinformatician to lead analyses of single-cell and spatial transcriptomics across projects focused on immune cell biology and women’s health.

You will analyze scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics and multiomics data, troubleshoot workflows, and design biologically informed analytical approaches in collaboration with the Vento-Tormo team and Open Targets.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
• Deep experience in single-cell transcriptomics spanning full analytical workflow.
• Ability to align computational work with team priorities and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and interpretation of scRNA-seq, snRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics and multiomics data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the workflow from alignment to clustering and inference.
• Design biologically informed analytical strategies and interpret results within experimental design.
