Job summary

Unknown in West London, Chelsea, is seeking a Lead Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) to head the electrical maintenance team, diagnose faults, and deliver reactive and planned works on site.

You will hold NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations with AM2 and 18th Edition BS7671, and have 5+ years of post-qualification experience, including reading drawings and coordinating subcontractors for safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Requires relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations, AM2, 18th Edition BS7671).
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a similar role, ideally with building services M&E knowledge.
• Able to lead engineers, manage subcontractors and maintain statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team and achieve planned maintenance targets.
• Complete electrical fault finding, diagnosis, repairs and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain electrical and mechanical systems, statutory compliance, site records and safe systems of work.
• Manage client requests, quotations, reports and subcontractor activities.
• Maintain a professional image onsite, ensuring cleanliness and good working relationships.
• Operate Permit to Work systems in line with organisation and client procedures.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover, participate in out-of-hours standby rota, and flexible shift patterns.
