Job summary

Invictus Group in London is seeking an experienced Engineering Shift Leader to join a landmark City of London building. You will lead a skilled facilities team and oversee the safe operation of essential M&E systems, taking responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance.

You can be electrically or mechanically biased and will take on AP responsibilities where qualified, managing contractors and ensuring compliance with site procedures on a continental shift pattern (7am–7pm).

Qualifications

• Experience as Shift Engineer or similar leadership role.
• Strong electrical or mechanical background in building services.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team during your shift.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of M&E systems.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and respond to issues quickly and professionally.
• Coordinate contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure work complies with site procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain shift handover records and documentation.
• Support PPM, compliance and statutory requirements.
