Job summary

PRS in City of London is seeking a Senior Shift Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of a prestigious banking development. The role focuses on leading a shift team, ensuring reliability, and driving engineering best practices on site.

You will manage PPM and reactive maintenance across LV/HV systems, coordinate contractors, and mentor junior engineers while upholding safety and compliance standards in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Requires NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations experience is essential.
• HVAP qualification/authorisation would be highly advantageous.
• Experience in commercial building services, critical environments or similar technically complex facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineers on shift.
• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Oversee fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintain LV systems, switchgear, control panels, lighting and power distribution.
• Support HV operations and related activities.
• Work with generators, UPS, pumps and motors in critical services.
• Ensure works meet site procedures, HSE requirements and best practice.
• Coordinate contractors and specialist engineers as required.
• Complete maintenance records, shift handovers and reports.
