Job summary

Cranleigh Scientific is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead the site’sSafety, Health, Environmental and Quality functions. You will report to the Managing Director and drive a culture of quality and compliance within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining QMS, ISO standards, audits, CAPA and continuous improvement, while collaborating with senior leadership to align SHEQ with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Senior SHEQ leadership experience in manufacturing.
• NEBOSH qualification is essential.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 management systems.
• Experience leading internal, external and customer audits.
• Sound understanding of UK Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• IOSH membership or Lead Auditor qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site's integrated QMS to maintain ISO standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and relevant legislation.
• Plan, manage and support internal, external and customer audits.
• Lead CAPA, root cause investigations and continuous improvement.
• Act as primary contact for quality-related customer concerns and resolutions.
• Lead the site's Health & Safety management systems and risk assessments.
• Manage Environmental Management System and sustainability objectives.
• Monitor, analyse and report SHEQ performance via KPIs and reviews.
• Provide SHEQ leadership across all departments and coach the team.
