Job summary

Irwin & Colton seeks an experienced Safety, Health & Environment Manager to join its South Wales site leadership team. This senior role provides strategic direction across safety, health, environment, process safety and security, ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainable operation.

You will lead a high-performing SHE team, align systems with ISO standards and COMAH requirements, and work closely with regulators and stakeholders to strengthen risk management and resilience.

Qualifications

• Senior SHE leadership experience in a COMAH-regulated environment.
• Degree in science/engineering/environment with NEBOSH Diploma.
• Proven ability to lead strategic safety, health and environment initiatives.
• Strong regulatory engagement with regulators and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across safety, health, environment and security.
• Own and improve SHE management systems in line with ISO standards and COMAH.
• Develop and deliver SHE strategy; drive safety culture and major hazard risk management.
• Build relationships with regulators and emergency services; lead crisis management.
• Lead SHE & Security team; support projects and organisational change through risk management.
