Job summary

Sigma Recruitment Limited is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Manager for a senior site in Wales. You will sit on the Site Leadership Team, own the SHE management system, the COMAH safety case, and ensure alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Leading a ten-strong team across safety, environment, industrial hygiene, occupational health, compliance and security, you will shape strategy and report to the UK Head of Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience on upper-tier COMAH sites.
• Level 6 SHE qualification minimum (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) with a relevant environmental qualification.
• Strong people leadership and ability to liaise with agencies such as HSE and regulators, including emergency response management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across safety, health, environment, process safety and security as part of the Refinery Leadership Team.
• Own the SHE management system and keep it aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Lead the COMAH duties, ensuring the Safety Case Report is delivered on schedule.
• Act as the site's lead authority on SHE, advising senior leaders and operational teams.
• Build strong relationships with regulators, emergency services and external stakeholders.
• Lead emergency preparedness, resilience planning and crisis management across the site.
• Develop and support your SHE and Security team of ten.
