Job summary

Barclays is hiring a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the UK. You will design, develop and improve software that enables business, platform and technology capabilities for colleagues and customers.

You will architect and implement the ServiceNow platform and HR Service Delivery at enterprise scale, with experience in Workday use cases and supporting infrastructure including Entra and Microsoft 365.

Job description

Join us as a Senior ServiceNow Developer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract at Barclays, where you will design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

To be successful as a Senior ServiceNow Developer you should have:

  • Architecting and implementing ServiceNow platform and HR Service Delivery solutions at enterprise scale.
  • Experience designing and implementing end to end use cases with Workday.
  • Supporting infrastructure such as Workday, Entra, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Copilot) at a working knowledge level.
Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include
  • Experience delivering AI-powered ServiceNow solutions using Generative and Agentic AI.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and employee journeys, with the ability to challenge and simplify ways of working rather than simply digitise them.
  • Experience working with zero copy data architectures.

Accountabilities
  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
