Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd. in Dudley seeks an experienced Service Manager to lead our pump repair workshop and field service activities. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight of technical support services, ensuring quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You will work closely with sales and engineering teams, oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning, and identify growth opportunities while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive pump repair and rotating equipment experience.
• Strong leadership and people management.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and reports.
• Knowledge of API, ISO and ATEX standards.
• Experience coordinating workshop and field service teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day pump repair workshop operations and field service.
• Oversee pump strip-downs, inspections, machining, assembly, testing and commissioning.
• Plan and schedule repair work to meet deadlines.
• Implement robust quality control and safety processes.
• Approve repair scopes, quotations and technical reports.
• Manage tooling, equipment and inventory for readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement and profitability.
• Support sales with technical presentations and tender responses.
• Maintain strong customer and supplier relationships.
• Act as technical contact for major accounts.
