Job summary

83zero Ltd is seeking a Senior Service Designer with active SC clearance for a hybrid role in Manchester. You will lead end-to-end service design across complex digital transformation programmes for public sector clients.

You’ll apply GDS standards and inclusive, user-centred design to shape services that are accessible and impactful, while mentoring junior designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Leading end-to-end service design activities, from initial discovery through to implementation and delivery.
• Designing and shaping innovative digital services around user needs and business objectives.
• Applying GDS standards, accessibility requirements and inclusive design principles.
• Planning and facilitating workshops, stakeholder sessions, co-design activities and design sprints.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including UX/UI Designers, User Researchers, Product Owners and Developers.
• Using research, insights and service mapping to identify opportunities and improve customer experiences.
• Supporting and mentoring junior designers while contributing to the wider design community.
