Job summary

Philosophy Education in Greenwich is seeking a qualified SENDCO for a full-time position starting immediately. The role focuses on coordinating SEND provision across the school and developing SEND policy to ensure high-quality support for all pupils.

You will work with external agencies, write PLPs, prepare EHCPs, and train staff to meet pupils' needs within a busy secondary school environment within an academy trust.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS and SENCO qualification.
• Experience coordinating SEND provision in a secondary school.
• Able to coach and mentor staff and work as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all SEND support across the school.
• Develop and implement the SEND policy.
• Liaise with external agencies (SLT, EP, therapists).
• Maintain accurate SEND records and pupil progress.
• Write Personal Learning Plans (PLP) and prepare EHCPs.
• Organise staff training on SEND needs.
