Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified SENCO with QTS required.
• Experience coordinating SEND in a secondary school.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills for staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all SEND support and develop the school SEND Policy.
• Liaise with parents, outside agencies and specialists.
• Maintain accurate SEND records and pupil progress.
• Support teachers and staff with targeted strategies.
• Develop Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) for pupils.
• Prepare Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Organise staff training on SEND needs.
